Engineered for flexibility, RDP Marathon packaging presses are designed for printers who want to keep up with the demands of the packaging industry while having the option to pursue new business opportunities.

They are engineered to optimize combination technology by providing interchangeable offset, flexo and gravure printing inserts. Roll-out trolleys allow fast, safe, and tool-less changeover simplifying the costly configuration set-ups usually required to meet individual market needs.

Capable of printing on film, IML, foil, paper, carton and other substrates, these presses are available in configurations of up to 10 standard printing units. They can be equipped with rotary screen technology and speciality finishing stations. These include hot foil stamping, die cutting, embossing, and in-line imaging.

The superior inking capabilities of the 4-form and 5-form roll designs - with integrated dampener - ensures superior ink laydown even at maximum production speeds.

RDP Marathon covers the range of solutions for business forms, direct mail, promotional graphics and commercial printing with the SR•200, the RDP•200V/300V series, and RDP Perfecting variable repeat web presses.

All RDP Marathon presses feature a 4-form roll design for superior ink lay down, and the user friendly Smart•Set press control system. Available in configurations of up to ten standard printing units, they can accommodate all of the traditional finishing stations to provide end-users with a complete variety of value-added products.

The Smart•Set press control system provides control of press functions on easy-to-use touch screen graphic displays accessible from both the main console and individual units. Smart•Set positions the print gap, pre-sets tension, adjusts ink/water balances, and sets register automatically without web movement, and provides job storage and retrieval, modem interface for remote systems diagnostics, and can integrate seamlessly with management software.
